The Zagreb Museum of Arts and Crafts is located on Republic of Croatia Square (Trg Republike Hrvatske). The collection includes more than 160,000 objects, dating from the 4th century to the 20th century. Not only the museum, but also an applied arts and design academy and library are located in the building. The permanent exhibits cover more than 2000 square meters, spread over 3 floors and 3000 exhibits. The objects show the separation of the stylistic Gothic and Art Deco periods. The library also contains approximately 65,000 books, journals, and reference works. A special section also has old books from the 16th to the 19th century.
