Trešnjevka-jug (south) is a district in Croatia’s capital city Zagreb. It is positioned to the south of Zagrebačka Avenue, to the west of Savska cesta, north of the Sava River, and east of Savska Opatovina. The district contains some old villages, but most of its residents live in urbanised settlements. Jarun Lake can be found in Trešnjevka-jug. This lake is one of the favourite locations of Zagreb’s residents, which is why the district is sometimes called Jarun. During the last census in 2011 the district had 66,674 residents, spread over 9.84 square kilometers.
